Thanks, Redhawk! You seem to be my source for info of late! I really appreciate it. Location: Wherever the wind blows- North America Linksys WRT54G v.3 w/15230 std-nokaid, Client Bridge. Linksys WRT54G-TM w/14929 std-nokaid, fan-cooled, 2 GB SD mod, Primary Router. Please remember, I'm rather Linux Challenged, so I need to have a pretty clear picture painted for me. Am I correct? Wouldn't I need to switch that port assignment to do the wireless bridge?.ie make the wireless the WAN and the WAN port the LAN? How would I go about this? I know I can go to Setup > Networking on the router interface to change port assignment.I'm just not sure what to change to what, if anything. ![]() ![]() Are there any tutorials better than the one linked below? Also, the trickiest part for me: my reasoning says that by default, the WAN port on the WAP is WAN and the wireless is the LAN. I want to bring the 2.2 back home as a backup while I do some modding to my TM. My question is this: I want to use the WAP as a client bridge.my neighbor across the street shares my internet connection and i have a wireless bridge set up, currently using my WRT54G v.2.2. I will pull the CFE out this evening and mod it to hold my MAC address. ![]() I had no trouble at all flashing the firmware to the WAP and it seems to be functioning normally. I have a Linksys WAP54G v.3.1 that I have flashed with v.24 pre-SP2 micro, build 11296M NEWD eko, which was the build recommended on the page linked below. I have what I'm sure is another elementary question. Posted: Wed 19:37 Post subject: WAP54G v.3.1 as client bridge
